industrial revolution
1732 - 1792
Showing Arkwright's spinning machine and drawings. Patented in 1769, this machine was too large to be used by hand and was powered by water. It propelled the introduction of the modern factory system.
I like how his machine is like a fine piece of furniture - albeit with thread bobbins. My contribution is here: https://viridianpostcard.blogspot.com/2024/05/sunday-stamps-industry.html

Nice!
My industry stamp is here.
That's a great choice for today. My stamp is here: https://envelope100.blogspot.com/2024/05/industry.html
I like the drawing in the background. From invention to reality.
Past industry also makes an appearance here
It always amazes me to see the first machines or tools and compare them to the recent ones. Great stamp!
That's a nice stamp, interesting machine. Now I'll be looking up Arkwright!
