I have shown this before, but as we have new people to our group, it is worth showing again.  This is a huge Pysanka sculpture.  It is 31 feet long and three and a half storeys high.  A colourful roadside attraction in Alberta.

For our food category this anniversary stamp for Nutella is most delicious

I thought I might be at risk of endlessly repeating myself, but then I found this Easter lily from Barbados

Severe winter temperatures have given White River the reputation as Canada's coldest spot. This electronically operated thermometer, probably the largest in the world, stands 25 feet high and gives constant accurate readings.  Located at Bagdon's Esso Service Station on Hwy 17 at White River, 

it is a must for every sightseer.

These are indeed dark times, certainly not expected when I chose this theme.

This was my original choice for a dark stamp. It shows the Princes' Gates in Toronto, one of the entrances to the Canadian National Exhibition grounds.

 

 

But here is another, for Ukraine, showing a giant Pysanka in Alberta. It celebrates the harmony, vitality, and culture of the community.

wawa

Wawa needed to have something to attract people to visit their small town after the new Trans Canada Highway diverted traffic. In Ojibway Wawa means 'wild goose' or 'Land of the Big Goose'. The goose (replaced twice) has stood here for 60 years.

bruce

Big Bruce, a giant Hereford steer stands 15 feet tall. You can find him near Chesley, Ontario

Jasper

1960's era postcard of Jasper the Bear welcoming you to Jasper. He was originally a cartoon character created by James Simpkins (from 1948 to 1975). He later became a mascot for Jasper National Park

an absolute unit

weighing over 97 tonnes, this glass reinforced cement merino stands 18 metres long and 15.5 metres tall. he is 34 years old and if you wish, you could climb inside and look out his eyes at the view around Goulburn NSW!

The famous 'GOOSE' at Wawa, Ontario. Wawa is the Indian name for goose. This goose was made of steel produced at the Algoma Mines in Wawa, 140 miles north of Sault Ste Marie.
