red

the male cardinal is a bright spot in winter, especially where I live when most of the colourful birds have moved south

red is a popular colour for mailboxes in many countries

and decorators often suggest a pop of red somehere n a room, so this red chair would be welcome

plus a bonus red envelope for your Christmas cards

I've never seen a cardinal, they don't live in the west. I'd certainly like to see one, so pretty! We have fewer post boxes than in the past, but the ones that exist are the post office blue color. Red as a pop of color? Not one of my favorites.

Cardinals are a favorite as a pair almost always nests in the back yard each year. Some red stamps recently received here: https://envelope100.blogspot.com/2024/12/red.html

Marina - this little guy is almost 25 years old!
Lisa - I keep forgetting than you don't have cardinals out west. I have a friend in Victoria who says that is one bird (song) she really misses.
