The Toronto Zoo is celebrating its 50th anniversary. I have yet to visit. Not sure why. Just never got around to it, though I have thought about going several times. Mostly, it is now the cost - $40 admission + $15 for parking. Plus the gas to get there.
I picked up these cards at a postcard show. It hasn't been known as the 'Metro" zoo for 25 years.

That's $30 USD, which is high to me for a zoo. But, I haven't been in years, and checking it looks like that's average for entry now. How can families afford that? I guess it's cheaper to become a member.
There is a program where you can get in for fre with a library card, which is really cool. I just wonder how many people know about it and take advantage.
