numbers

The Norwegian post horn design has been in continuous use since it was first used in 1872 (148 years)
The next longest running series is the Danish Wavy Line  first used in 1905 (115 years). Somewhere I read that these lines represent the three main rivers, but I can't find which rivers.

Two stamps from countries very familiar to me and I have many denominations of these designs.

I've got a couple of the Danish (different colours). But know I feel I need one of those Norwegian stamps!

My stamp is here.

I like the Danish wavy lines stamps but always thought of them as sea waves so you made me wonder. I found the Stamp Magazine says that they represent the three straits that connect the North Sea and the Baltic Sea.

Somehow I have never noticed these definitive designs before. I like the number inside the postal horn.
