This stamp of Louise Arbour was issued for the series "Difference Makers" in May 2012. Before being appointed High Commissioner for Human Rights at the United Nations, where she was a chief prosecutor for the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia, Ms Arbour was a Supreme Court Justice for Ontario and Canada. She retired in 2004.

For some reason or another we do not seem to issue stamps of famous people like this. The only live people on British stamps seem to be royalty.
I like the simplicity of this stamp design... the personality still shines through.
It is not the first time I read it, but I really love the title of the series "Difference makers".
I like the use of pointillism, sharpening the further away I look.
I agree with the previous comments: the pointillistic design is great in its simplicity, and a serie named 'Difference makers' is so good and interesting!
