1946 Dominican Republic, 10 centavos
An airmail stamp showing the air routes to the capitol city, Cuidad Trujillo. The city of Santo Domingo was renamed by the Dominican Republic's dictator Rafael Trujillo after himself in 1936. Following his assassination in 1961, it reverted back to Santo Domingo.

I wish I had more map stamps like this.
A nice take on air mail. Interesting they have named checked all the countries apart from Haiti next door.
I love maps, and this stamp really is a beauty. Also for the details / completeness by mentioning the neighbouring places' names, too!
I see the widget is gone, however I have a late entry at http://envelope100.blogspot.com/2015/10/sunday-stamps-on-tuesday-flags.html
I love the stamp you've chosen, there's a lot of detail in a small space.
