fashion - going back in time

Most images of Audrey Hepburn show off her elongated neckline in an elegant black dress.  I'm not sure why this Yousuf Karsh portrait (1956) has her in a casual turtleneck sweater, which in its own way, shows off her long neck.
Louis Jordan was a saxophonist (jazz, swing, blues, and jump blues)
Caledonia (youtube).  This stamp shows the poster for the 1941 movie.  Striped trousers were very fashionable in the 1940s

And, Edgar Allan Poe looking dapper with his trademark ascot.
A 2009 stamp showing a portrait by Michael Deas.

and here it is November again - time for day 1 of  NaBloPoMo

I like that you chose stamps that are not directly dedicated to fashion. Hepburn and Allan Poe would look elegant nowadays. I'm not so sure about striped pants!

See here my dresses.

I did have a pair of striped (narrow blue on white) bell-bottom jeans when I was in middle school!

Louise Jordan swings in style, its the long jackets that always fascinate me.

Audrey Hepburn looks elegant in a pajama! :-) Great interpretation of fashion on the other stamps.

I agree, Marina - she would look elegant no matter what she wears!

Nice way to tackle fashion.

Audrey Hepburn? ... By George, she's got it!

Strugled a bit to find something to contribute. Weddings and fashion do seem to maintain a close relation, even on traditional grouds, so here’s my take.
