In Russian folklore, the Alkonost is a celestial bird with the head of a maiden. They have the ability to mesmerize humans with their enchanting voice I don't have any Hallowe'en postcards, but this creature appears to be orange, and I think might make a pretty cool costume

I think it is perfect for Halloween, and a beautiful drawing.
My two postcards are here.
I too have no Halloween cards. But my entry for today in my blog has a definite orange tint in the card and the stamp, so following an ancient portuguese aphorism which says "Quem dá o que tem a mais não é obrigado" (he, who gives what he has cannot be obliged to give anything more) I invite you to take a look at it :-).
The link above seems to be dead, but you know the place :-): https://coversandstampsinmymailbox.blogspot.com
It's a great Halloween image! So, they're like Russian harpies.

I love the design on this postcard. And it is orange!!!
A perfect celestial bird for the season, although I sense a certain darkness hovering in that tale. Lovely illustration.
My interpretation is here
