vintage and contemporary postcards and stamps from around the world

post

For the second time in less than a year the postal workers stopped working, but they are back now (on rotating strikes, but so far not in my area) so I've gotten back into checking my mailbox every day and sending cards through Postcrossing.

Our vans are a little different - less boxy - than these ones from the early 1990s, (same colours)

a couple of interesting and very different postboxes both from 2011

Nice to hear that mail comes like usual again. We have a mailbox like in Finlands stamp at our summercottage. But ours is red.

I like stamps that are stamp/postal related! I like the first one best, with the circle of mail. All the more special being Postcrossing. Our mail trucks are boxy. And we've never had postboxes. I shouldn't say "never," but town, or city, at least on the west coast, never.

The first stamp is definitely my favorite. (Especially the dude sitting on the chair, haha.)
