pillar boxes

Although I don't have the actual stamps, I do have this set of 2002 PHQ cards - which I think I prefer

and, I was pleased to discover, after getting them, that the engraver was Czeslaw Slania (1921-2005)
Note: the colour changed from green to red in 1874 and the blue box was for airmail.

maybe Joy can enlighten us if she has seen any new pillar boxes with the CRIII cypher?

These are great. I've got some of them as stamps, and they are also great. About the CRIII... there is at least one!

My illustrated stories are here.

Not seen a CRIII in the wild but they are rolling them out and quite a few locations have been photographed now. They won't rival the ones on your cards as the new postboxes are no longer cast iron (and won't last as long). It is an awkward add on cypher, seen here on a stainless steel lamp box.

None of those around here! Few actual mailboxes at all other than outside post offices, that I've noticed at least.
Mine are the engraved option.
