a retro travel poster postcard with a cute teardrop trailer

cars are allowed on Sauble Beach, though they seem to be off this postcard
instead we have some 60s era bathing suits
A typical scene, on the wide, white, sandy shores of SAUBLE BEACH — the Daytona of Canada on Lake Huron. Noted for its fine bathing facilities, and seven mile long sand beach.  Won't you join us? — the water's warm, too! Ample accommodations are available at Modern Lodges, Motels, Cottages, and Cabins.

  1. The teardrop trailers were/are really cute, and some, today,as small as they are, are cleverly outfitted with just about everything you might need. As for the beach photo - that beach looks mighty inviting!

  2. I never knew what those style caravans were called. I just knew I liked the shape. Real cosy like :) And oh my goodness, the size of your lakes makes me gasp!

  3. Those trailers have made a come back. My sister and her husband rented one for a trip earlier this month.

  4. There's something classic about that style of travel poster\card. Simple yet inviting. A bit like illustrations in children's books. All respect to Sauble Beach, the beach scene could be anywhere. A different kind of classic.

  5. Love the caravan poster, and the beach sure looks tempting -- especially now that fall is upon us. I well remember those teardrop caravans. A great design for young families on road trips.
